Success Story - Amy L.

Turnover and Employee Engagement:

Amy Levine had been with her organization for years, working her way up to a senior marketing position. However, despite her title, Levine felt stale and stuck, "I'd started to no longer feel valuable because I'd been there for so long." The skills she relied on to climb the corporate ladder now seemed stagnant, and Levine struggled to recognize the contributions she brought to the table.

“I couldn’t see a path forward.”

Employees often get typecast in an organization, especially if they have been with the same team for an extended period. So, it's not surprising that lack of career development and advancement is among the top reasons employees leave.

In addition to feeling stuck, Levine was frustrated by the lack of opportunities for other team members. "The only way for one of my managers to move up was for me to leave," she explained. “This person was stuck because I was stuck.”

When a colleague announced they were leaving for a new opportunity, she began to think a move might be possible for her too. This prompted her to seek out Collective Engagement.

"Senior leaders need to recognize the value of this type of work and
be willing to invest in it."

Holistic Intervention:

Collective Engagement's exclusive methodology includes one-on-one coaching that encourages participants to look at the entirety of their life’s experiences beyond professional accomplishments. For Levine, incorporating her whole self – what she valued inside and outside of work - was a game changer.

“Finding my own purpose and mission created excitement and
inspiration that had been missing.”

Through her work with Collective Engagement, Levine realized her skillset was broader than she had convinced herself and that she had value to offer beyond her current role.

A Renewed Sense of Self:

Going through the Collective Engagement framework helped Levine rebuild a sense of competency and value, giving her the confidence to move forward. She credits her changed professional outlook and approach to Collective Engagement, "The experience opened doors I didn't know existed. It was liberating, energizing, and reassuring.”

Levine now holds a position she never thought would be attainable when she was working within the confines of her previous role.

“I pinch myself every day.”
